Help/FAQ

HOW DO I PLACE FILES IN A SPECIFIC ORDER?

The only way to specify the order is by using a computer to rename the files. You'll need to place all of the files
in a folder, placing them in the order you would like them to appear. Press CTRL + A. This should highlight all of
the files. Right-click on the first file and choose Rename. This will rename all of your pictures. After you name
the file, but BEFORE you press enter to rename, type Space and then (101).jpg. This should rename your files
to something like this:

beachtrip (101).jpg

Remember the space between the name and the number. All you have to do now is transfer that folder to the
frame and they should play in order. Let us know if you have any other problems.

HOW DO I TRANSFER MY PHOTOS TO THE FRAME FROM A MEMORY DEVICE?

From USB flash drive to frame:

1. Power on your frame and insert your USB drive.
2. Make sure the small wire coming out of the side of the frame is plugged into the slot labeled "USB Device",
which is directly below where it comes out. It basically loops back into itself. This should activate your USB Host
on the top portion of the frame.
3. Go to the USB icon on your frame and press enter. Go to the FILES option and press enter. You may see a
folder (usually labeled DCIM) or you will see the pictures files themselves (.jpg extensions). If you see the folder
press enter again and then you should see the picture files.
4. Select whichever picture(s) you want to save into the internal memory by pressing the right arrow key. That
should put a check beside the name of the file. You can check as many as you would like by pressing the up
and down arrow keys to highlight other files. Simply press the right arrow key again to place a check beside
another picture.
5. Press the OSD key on your remote. You should have the option to either Copy or Delete. Press enter on
Copy and then you should see C: No Name. Press the right arrow key there and then press Enter.
6. A box should appear with a percentage sign and then say Finished. Press Enter and the pictures are now in
the frame.

From PC to frame:

1. Power on your PC and frame. Insert the provided USB cable to the frame first and then to the PC. Give the PC
a few moments to recognize the drive. A box usually will appear asking what you would like to do with the
device. At the top of that box you should see either "PHOTOFRAME" followed by a drive letter or "REMOVABLE
DISK" follow by a drive letter. You may not close that box. Just remember which drive letter it was in.
2. Open My Computer and locate the correct drive letter. Double-click the correct drive and you should see any
pictures (preloaded or yours) that have been placed in the frame's memory.
3. Here you have several options: You can minimize that My Computer box and locate any pictures you have
on your PC. Single click a picture and then press the right mouse button. A menu should appear. You can either
choose Copy and then reopen My Computer and Paste the file into the new drive, or you can simply right click
on the desired picture and choose "Send to..." and send it to the correct letter drive. You can do more than one picture at a time if you would like by selecting more than one and then right-clicking on any of the selected
pictures and choosing those options.
4. Make sure you always "Safety Remove Hardware". There should be an icon on the bottom right of your PC
screen along with your other icons that are located there. It looks like a green arrow over a silver box. Right
click on it and then left click on Safety Remove Hardware. A box should appear. Click on STOP and then OK.
Your PC will tell you it is safe to remove your device. Unplug the frame and enjoy your new slideshow!

*How do I connect the DPF wirelessly to my PC?*

* NOTE: You must have a wireless router or have access to a wireless network in order to use the WiFi option
for your DPF. Also make sure you have already followed the directions in the manual concerning Windows
Media Player.
1. Ensure that the USB host cable is inserted into the USB Device port on your DPF. (On the side of the DPF)
2. Insert the WiFi USB Dongle into the USB Host port on your DPF. (On the top of the DPF)
3. Using your remote for your DPF, go to the main menu. Select SETTINGS.
4. Go down to NETWORK. Once the NETWORK option is highlighted, use the left and right arrow keys to find
and select AUTO SCAN. The DPF will search for available networks. Select the appropriate wireless network
and press enter. Once it has connected, press exit until you are back at the main menu. A new option should be
available, ?Connected To.? You may now view files from your PC on your DPF.

How do I set Windows Media Player for a wireless connection?

NOTE: The DPF will only work with Windows Media Player 10 or 11 (11 is preferred).
1. Open Windows Media Player. You should see a tab labeled Tools. Click on Tools and then Options.
2. Click on the Library tab. Choose Configure Sharing. Check the box labeled "Share my media to..." Then click
OK.
3. Return to Tools, Options, and the Library tab again. This time choose Monitor Folders. Here you can choose
which folders to share (folders with pictures, music, videos, etc.) Your My Pictures, My Music, and My Video
folders are added by default.
4. Choose Add to add any additional folders to share. Once that is complete, click on OK.
5. Connect your DPF to your wireless network. You should see a new box on your DPF's screen labeled as
Connected To. If you do not see that box, go back to Windows Media Player to Configure Sharing. There should
be a icon underneath "Share my media to..." labeled Media Renderer. Click on the Icon and choose Allow. A
green check should appear next to the icon. Restart your DPF and it should then display a new icon.
